GRANDVIEW, MO (July 2009) — Customers looking for a premium LED stop/turn/tail light at an extra-economical price will find it in Peterson’s new Piranha® brand 4″ round models. Listed as the 817-3/818-3 Series, the new lights use an innovative manufacturing process that delivers legendary Piranha® quality with unprecedented efficiency.

The 817-3 grommet-mount and 818-3 flange-mount models are the latest additions to Peterson’s extensive lineup of Piranha® 4″ round LED lights. Thanks to cutting-edge production technology in Peterson’s Grandview plant, the precision process of integrating AMP-compatible connectors is fully automated — allowing significant time/cost savings. The results are economical LED lights that not only offer the long-life and trouble-free performance of the Piranha® brand, but do so at prices unmatched for value by inferior “no-name” lights.

Both models contain seven diodes and are designed with an operating range of 9-16 volts. They feature skirted weld joints for added protection against moisture and meet FMVSS 108 requirements. Top positioning is not required. The grommet versions use 426-18 rubber grommets.
