Next summer, Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, located in Memphis, Tennessee, will host a grand opening celebration to mark the opening of their new hospital. And they can’t think of anyone more suited to speak at this momentous event than the First Lady herself, Michelle Obama.
Le Bonheur has launched a campaign that they hope will reach out and encourage the First Lady to make a special appearance at the opening scheduled to take place on June 15, 2010. Along with joining their Facebook Group “Help Bring the First Lady to Le Bonheur,” supporters of the campaign are asked to send a letter to the First Lady’s office in Washington, DC to encourage the First Lady and her staff to take part in the event. To learn more about Le Bonheur’s Special Invitation for Mrs. Obama and the different ways you can help support the campaign, visit their website at http://www.lebonheur.org/firstlady.
The new 255-bed, 12-story, 610,000 sq. foot facility at Le Bonheur will provide additional space for patient care, educational teaching and research for specific programs including their Neuroscience and Cardiac units that treat children with conditions such as epilepsy and brain tumors to congenital heart disease. Le Bonheur is the first and only comprehensive Children’s hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Our best wishes to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center for a successful campaign in bringing Michelle Obama to Memphis.
