Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital recently teamed up with local News Channel 3 meteorologist Jim Jaggers for it’s fourth annual GO JIM GO! ride. The annual bike ride helps raise awareness and donations for children who are treated at Le Bonheur as well as enhancing hospital programs.

The 333-mile ride took place from September 25-October 3 and raised over $60,000 for the children of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Live broadcasts aired throughout Jaggers’ eventful trek and viewers followed his journey via BikeCam and Twitter.

Money raised from the event will provide support for Le Bonheur’s new, state-of-the-art facility as well as enhancing specific programs including their Neuroscience and Cardiac units. The Neuroscience Institute has become a national leader in treating children with brain tumors, epilepsy and sleep disorders. As the only pediatric cardiovascular program in the Mid-South, the Heart Institute at Le Bonheur offers extensive services for treating cardiac conditions such as congenital heart disease and offers a state-of-the-art catheterization lab and exceptional cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU).
