This spring, Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City received an Outstanding Achievement Award by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. This award recognizes the significant dedication by the multidisciplinary oncology team at Children’s Mercy to provide high-quality cancer care to its patients, and to meet and exceed the quality and clinical standards set by the Commission on Cancer Accreditation Program. This is the second time Children’s Mercy’s childhood cancer program has been honored with this distinction.
The pediatric oncology program at Children’s Mercy provides comprehensive care to children with cancer in a family-centered environment to promote optimal health and well-being.
